Pool Maintenance Worker

The maintenance staff will work under the direct supervision of the Head Pool Operator from the Public Works Department and the Recreation Superintendent.  Maintenance is responsible for the daily upkeep of the facility.  The responsibilities of maintenance include, but are not limited to, mowing of grass, trimming in and around the facility, vacuuming pool bottom, emptying trash, watering grass and plants, cleaning dressing rooms, testing, and recording pool chemicals.GENERAL DUTIES
  1. Mow grass and trim in and around the facility
  2. Weed shrub beds
  3. Empty trash receptacles
  4. Vacuum bottom of pool
  5. Clean dressing areas, including showers and restrooms
  6. Change screens in pump house
  7. Test and record pool chemicals
  8. Check sand play area and volleyball courts; rake if necessary
  9. Pick litter (facility, perimeter and parking lot)
  10. Inspect All Children's Playground equipment weekly. Complete checklist
  11. Empty trash receptacles in All Children's Playground
  12. Other duties as assigned by Facility Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Preferred: Pool maintenance experience, but not required
       Maintenance experience preferred
 
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  1. Thorough knowledge and skill in the use of lawn mower, pool vacuum, and weed eater
  2. Ability to accept, understand and follow written and verbal instruction
  3. Ability to work independently
  4. Ability to perform facility and grounds maintenance tasks
  1. This job is for approximately 16 weeks, 30 hours per week, Monday - Friday 5am - 11am
  2. May 30- August 30 (Approximately)
