Qualifications Education and Experience
High school diploma/GED and an additional six (6) months of advanced study or technical training in electrical/electronic technology.
Four (4) years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
Licenses or Certifications
Must possess a valid state driver's license and the ability to obtain a Florida CDL "B" Driver's License within six (6) months of hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs semi-skilled manual and limited technical work for installation and maintenance of City water, sewer and irrigation infrastructure, stormwater infrastructure and/or transportation infrastructure.
Ensures the proper stocking and functioning of equipment and supplies in assigned city vehicle(s) and prepares work sites per daily work orders.
Performs essential functions as part of a crew comprised of equipment operators and laborers, but may perform certain independent tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
Performs maintenance and repair on municipal property, i.e., installation and repair of water/wastewater and irrigation lines, replacement of damaged valves and hydrants and installation of new structures.
Performs other related duties as required.
