The City is seeking dedicated and community-focused individuals to join our team as a Police Officer. Under general supervision, this fully sworn, entry-level peace officer position performs a wide range of law enforcement and crime prevention duties to protect life and property, maintain public order, enforce laws and ordinances, and build strong community relationships.
Police Officers patrol assigned areas, respond to calls for service, investigate crimes and traffic collisions, make arrests, prepare detailed reports, and testify in court. This role also emphasizes proactive crime deterrence and community policing, fostering positive partnerships with residents, businesses, and community organizations. Officers are expected to exercise sound judgment and professionalism in both routine and emergency situations and may have opportunities for specialized assignments based on department needs.
