Under the general direction of the Building Official, the Plans Examiner performs moderate to complex duties and is responsible for reviewing, examining and analyzing plans and specifications of residential, commercial and industrial construction documents to ensure compliance with adopted building codes, regulations and policies and communicating with all relevant stakeholders regarding approval or denial of plans and permits. Responds to public inquiries regarding plans or code requirements and performs field inspection work
as assigned.
