Supports the engineering department staff in the development and delivery of municipal capital construction projects, and in the various day-to-day tasks within the engineering department.

- Supports the other engineering department staff and consultants in the completion of municipal construction projects. Ensure costs are tracked and properly accounted for, standards and plans are followed, and that the work is completed in the best interest of the city.
- Supports the other engineering department staff in managing the public right-of-way through the issuance and oversight of permitted work.
- Aid in the collection of design data via field surveys, traffic counts, and other methods to gather information relative to the completion of projects in the city.
