Join the City of Burnsville as a Neighborhood Services Specialist! In this role, you’ll help maintain safe, attractive neighborhoods by enforcing city codes and ensuring public and private properties comply with building, property maintenance, zoning, rental licensing, and other regulations.

You’ll be part of Burnsville’s Community Development Division—a team of dedicated professionals supporting economic development, planning, and building inspections throughout the city.

This is a non-exempt (hourly) position with a starting annual wage of $91,166.40, depending on qualifications (DOQ).

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience as a building, housing, property maintenance, environmental health, or code enforcement inspector
  • Must have an International Code Council (ICC) certification as a Property Maintenance Code Inspector or Residential Building Inspector, or be able to obtain within one year of employment
  • Local government experience preferred

Salary : $91,166 - $113,693
