What are the responsibilities and job description for the Public Works Department Administrator position at City of Burleson, TX?
PRIMARY DUTY:
This position leads and manages the assigned operational functional areas within the department, as well as performs high-level administrative, financial, reporting, and research support for the department. The position assists the department head in strategic planning and oversight of key performance areas of the entire department. This position leads the department's accreditation effort and serves as the departmental liaison to other city departments. This role will also work directly with and support department managers in developing and managing the annual budget, completing regulatory requirements, providing financial analysis, and preparing statistical and other reports.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree in a business, accounting, public administration, or related field.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in government including three years of operations / support experience and two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES REQUIRED:
Valid Class "C" Texas Driver License with a good driving record.
Salary : $79,220 - $118,831
