Position Summary
The Tactical Medical Operator provides emergency medical support to the Brooklyn Park SWAT team during operations and training. SWAT medics manage the medical program and receive medical direction from a physician. SWAT medics maintain all equipment related to their duties. This is a part-time and on-call position.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Supports operations and training
- Maintains equipment and supplies
- Maintains training standards and professional certificates
- Responds to emergency calls and radio transmissions
- Assesses patients on the scene and making preliminary diagnoses
- Provides emergency medical treatment, including administering medication, pain relief, intravenous infusions, and dressing wounds/injuries
- Leads and coordinates the team responding to an emergency
- Provides first aid or life support to patients who are sick or injured
- Quickly and efficiently assesses a patient’s condition and determines the best course of treatment
- Transfers patients to the emergency area of the hospital or other healthcare facility
- Other duties as assigned

Education
- Associate’s degree in healthcare, paramedics, emergency management or related field
- Three years of related experience
- Certified Paramedic, current with EMSRB
- BLS
- Valid driver's license
