What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cemetery Seasonal Laborer position at City of Broken Arrow?

This position is responsible for assisting in the maintenance of the city cemetery.
This position works 30 to 40 hours per week between the hours of 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.
*This position performs duties deemed to be “safety-sensitive" and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City’s policies*
- Assist with the placing of monuments
- Mark plots for burials
- Assist in funeral services, direct traffic, set up equipment, place flowers on grave site
- Assist in the maintenance of cemetery records
- Mow grass and operate a weed eater, fill in sunken grave sites, place sod or sow seed, spray herbicides
- Set monuments and markers, straighten monuments and markers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
• Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations
• No experience required
• Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
