Job Summary & Qualifications:
The Maintenance I, II, III and IV positions are responsible for assisting the Parks and Recreation Department in ensuring the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of City of Bridgeport parks or Cemetery with limited-to-moderate complexity. Position involves competing demands, performing multiple tasks, working to deadlines, occasional work beyond normal business hours, and responding to customer issues. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job to ensure continuity of services. Position may involve shift work; work on holidays, weekends, nights, and overtime.
The applicant must be a competent and energetic candidate who is able to work both independently and in a group, and show initiative.
Applicant must possess and maintain a valid West Virginia Driver’s License and have a high school diploma or GED. Shall have previous experience in grounds and building maintenance.
