BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Recreation Coordinator and the Summer Program Coordinator, the Recreation Leader is to be responsible for and assists in planning and coordinating summer recreation programs and special events in the summer season.EDUCATION AND EXPERERIENCE18 years of age and a high school graduate preferred College experience preferred but not requiredPrior experience working with elementary age school childrenFirst Aid/CPR preferred but not required
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES: Supervise children ages 3-14 (Grades Preschool – 8)Plan and organize weekly and daily activities for a group of 20-25 childrenPlan and organize weekly and daily arts & crafts, music, games, sports, swimming and special eventsResponsible for maintenance and cleaning of designated areas Enforces rules OTHER DUTIES: Perform related duties as assigned
