Overview
Program objectives include: youth dialogues, and presentations along with various in person activities addressing the following issues for young girl’s resiliency training, self-care, health and wellness, fitness and nutrition, Youth leadership & female empowerment. Life Skills: Cultural Exposure/ Experience: Civic engagement/ community service
Key Duties and Responsibilities
It is important to us that young people are able to be the directors of their experiences — all programming will make intentional space for the young leaders to be partners in all programmatic decision making and co-create a program that works for them. The sessions will culminate in the youth leaders developing an implementation plan for their proposals.The GROW youth will: Job training, career readiness, academic readiness, peer mentorship, Generate ideas and solutions that they wanna share with local leaders. Co-design youth programming for subsequent cohorts. Gain an understanding of philanthropy, its history, and impact on their communities. Discuss and uncover a rich understanding of topics that will support their work. This includes but is not limited to: Leadership development, Narrative shifting Identity in relation to systems changeIntersectional movements Community engagement and organizing.
