Essential Functions
- Assist staff and program supervisor with Youth Recreation Program activities
- Supervision of youth 8-12 years of age during an after-school program
- Prepare educational and recreational supplies prior to activities
- Assist with the maintenance and cleaning of a neighborhood community center
- Other duties as assigned.
- This individual must be a minimum of 14 years of age and currently enrolled in a formal high school education program, or its equivalent (Grades9th-12th).
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening, and possess (or be able to obtain) a CPR/First Aid certification.
- This position requires the ability to interact with the public and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner. Employee must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
- The superior candidate will have 1 year experience working with elementary age youth.
