Job Type: Full-time. We are seeking dependable Heavy Equipment Operators and Laborers to join our Water & Sewer utility team. You will work on critical infrastructure projects, ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of water and sewer lines. This role combines skilled equipment operation with hands-on groundwork in a dynamic team environment.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate excavators, backhoes, and trenchers to dig trenches for pipeline installations and repairs.
- Ground Support: Assist the ground crew with laying, connecting, aligning, and grading water and sewer pipes.
- Maintenance & Inspection: Conduct daily pre-trip inspections, perform basic equipment maintenance, and keep machinery clean.
- Safety Adherence: Maintain a safe job site by following all excavation, trenching, and utility safety protocols.
Job Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Background Check: Must pass a background check upon receiving a conditional offer of employment.
- Experience: Previous experience operating heavy machinery or working in utility construction is highly preferred.
- Certifications: A valid driver's license is required (CDL is a plus).
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Requires working outdoors in all various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Demands heavy lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods
