The City of Billings Parks, Recreation, and Public Lands is seeking twelve (12) enthusiastic and motivated Tennis Instructors to teach in our "Tennis is Elementary" program. Instructors will create a positive and safe learning environment while teaching children the basic skills, rules, and fundamentals of tennis. This position requires strong communication skills, an energetic personality, and the ability to serve as an excellent role model for young players. Instructors will follow the USTA Net Generation curriculum, including completing the required coaching certification and obtaining "Green Light" coaching status prior to the program start date.
Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

- Days: Monday -- Thursday evenings.
- Season: October 20 -- November 13, 2025.
- Lead engaging, age-appropriate tennis lessons following USTA Net Generation guidelines.
- Provide a safe, supportive, and fun environment for all participants.
- Demonstrate proper tennis fundamentals and teach the rules of play.
- Motivate and encourage players, promoting good sportsmanship and confidence.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and Parks & Recreation staff.
- Serve as a positive role model and leader both on and off the court.
- Able to pass pre-employment drug test.
- Must meet minimum age requirement.
- Strong communication skills and a positive, energetic attitude.
- Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and work patiently with children.
- At least 1 year of coaching or playing experience (preferred).
- Ability to teach tennis fundamentals while ensuring a fun, educational experience.
- Willingness to complete USTA Net Generation Certification and attend on-court training before the first session.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
