What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal - Summer Camp Counselor - PRPL Recreation position at City of Billings?
Pay: $15.00–$17.00/hour
Work Schedule: 30 - 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Typical day is 7:15 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Preferred Dates: May 28-August 28
Position Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and energetic Summer Camp Counselors to help create a safe, supportive, and exciting summer experience for children. Ideal candidates enjoy working with kids, leading activities, and serving as positive role models while helping campers make lasting memories.
- Providing a safe, fun, and inclusive environment for all campers
- Leading and assisting with a variety of camp activities
- Working closely and patiently with children of different ages
- Encouraging positive behavior, teamwork, and participation
- Serve as a positive role model at all times
- Ensure a safe and clean facility and environment
- Provide excellent care and customer service to the public
- Must be at least 15 years of age
- Strong communication skills and a positive, energetic attitude
- Ability to lead and engage children in activities, projects, and field trips
- Dependable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team
- Previous experience working with children preferred
- First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided if needed)
