The City of Billings is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to perform a variety of duties involved in the enforcement of City parking regulations and provide general information and assistance to the public.
Salary Range: $19.9580 - $23.0720 per hour. Salary reflects Step 4 and Step 7 of a 7-step pay scale. Salary at hiring will be dependent upon the applicant's education, experience, and training.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Monitors and patrols designated areas including commercial areas and neighborhoods.
- Issues citations as required for parking infractions.
- Appropriately handles disputes and complaints with disgruntled vehicle owners.
- Ensures safety in Parking Zones such as fire lanes and handicap spaces.
- Uses technology in parking enforcement from modern tools like handheld devices and software programs.
- Educates the public on parking regulations in a courteous manner.
- Assists with traffic control when needed to improve safety and flow of traffic.
- Collects and assists in processing parking violation payments.
- Completes necessary paperwork such as notice of violation forms.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one (1) years' experience in cash handling and customer service.
- A valid Montana driver's license or one must be obtained within thirty (30) days of employment.
