The Water/Wastewater Utilities Foreman plans, organized, coordinates, reviews and evaluates the work of staff providing water production and distribution, wastewater treatment, and routine/emergency maintenance on City piped water and sewer systems.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or the equivalent Four (4) years' experience in water/wastewater treatment and distribution operations; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Special Requirements
Possession of State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) certification in the following (or ability to obtain them within 18 months of employment): Water Treatment Level II Water Distribution Level II Wastewater Collection Level II Wastewater Treatment Level II
Miscellaneous Information
This position responds to emergencies on a 24-hour basis as assigned.
