Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent Valid Alaska State Drivers' License Must meet minimum standards of Alaska Police Standards Council for Police Officers Previous academy attendance and relevant police experience (lateral position)
Special Requirements
This position is considered a public trust position. An applicant must be able to pass a comprehensive criminal records background check, polygraph and psychological exam to be considered for this position. An applicant must be able to obtain and maintain an Alaska Public Safety Information Network (APSIN) security clearance. This position requires the successful completion of an APSC-Certified Police Academy or Certifcation of prior Academy equivalence reciprocity if applying from out of state.
