Recreation Leader - Part-Time

PARKS & RECREATION LEADER I & II
Part-Time (Up to 20 hours per week)
Salary: Minimum $10 - $15 per hour Depending on Qualifications

GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The position is Part-Time (limited up to
20 hours per week) created to assist in youth and adult athletic programs
(planning, organizing, and directing a variety of indoor and outdoor
recreational activities) throughout the week and weekends. Other duties
consist of the following:
• Responsible for supervising sports leagues, events, and athletic
rentals
• Responsible for overall site supervision at practice and game
locations
• Provide a safe and healthy environment for all participants
• Know rules of the sport or event they are supervising
• Set up and tear down the equipment before and after the game as
needed
• Possess knowledge of how to keep score at games or ability to learn
• Understand and implement at BPRD rules, policies, and procedures
• Be extremely responsible, punctual and detail oriented
• Must be able to perform physical labor tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs.)
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Some Experience in Parks and Recreation
Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check will be
required
