SUMMER CAMP ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (SEASONAL)
General Purpose:
The Summer Camp Administrative Assistant will support the daily operations of our camp. This role involves assisting with camper registration, maintaining records, communicating with parents, and providing general administrative support to the camp staff. The ideal candidate is friendly, efficient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and responsibilities:
· Assist with camper registration, payments, and record-keeping.
· Answer phone calls and emails, responding to parent inquiries and concerns.
· Maintain attendance records and ensure all camper forms (medical, emergency contacts, waivers) are complete.
· Help organize daily schedules, transportation logistics, and staff assignments.
· Support the Camp Director and staff with administrative tasks, such as printing schedules and filing documents.
· Coordinate with vendors for supplies and meal arrangements.
· Provide on-site support during check-in and check-out times.
· Ensure compliance with safety and health regulations.
· Performs other duties as required.
· Seasonal position (typically May–August) with full-time or part-time hours.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent experience or related education and at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Previous administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a camp or childcare setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to effectively work and communicate with City officials, co-workers, residents and the general public.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends.
- Be a positive reflection of the Department of Community Life and the city of Bedford Heights.
- Valid Ohio Driver's license.
- Ability to obtain Red Cross Certificate in First Aid and CPR.
