Facilities Maintenance Technician

City of Beaverton
Griffith, OR Full Time
POSTED ON 7/29/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/16/2026

The City of Beaverton is hiring two Facilities Maintenance Technicians. Facilities Technicians do a wide range of maintenance and repairs to keep city buildings safe and well maintained for employees and visitors. This includes everything from basic carpentry to electrical work and maintaining security systems. The role requires practical knowledge of commercial building systems, the ability to read building plans and manuals, troubleshoot and repair equipment and tools, and communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and other stakeholders.

You might love this job if you enjoy hands-on work that makes a real difference in how city facilities look and operate. You’ll use a variety of skills—plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and project coordination—to tackle different tasks each day. The work is practical, visible, and keeps city buildings safe and welcoming. If you like solving problems, take pride in quality work, and enjoy a mix of technical tasks and customer service, please apply.

This is a full-time, non-exempt, SEIU classified position. There are two vacancies. This recruitment may also be used to fill temporary positions performing facilities maintenance work. Temporary employees may work up to 40 hours per week but do not receive city benefits.

Please click APPLY to submit your application via the City of Beaverton’s online portal. You will need to enter your work history and respond to several supplemental questions. Your education, skills, and experience will be evaluated using the information you provide in the application and supplemental questions. Attaching a resume or cover letter does not replace the requirement to fully complete the application.
