LOCATION: BAY MINETTE, ALABAMA
The City of Bay Minette is accepting applications for the seasonal position of Lifeguard for the City of Bay Minette Municipal Pool.
NOTE: Applicants MUST provide certification of an
American Red Cross Lifeguard Training coursePRIOR to the orientation and onboarding process.
Lifeguards may qualify for 50% certification fee reimbursement after working the first full summer and 50% after the second full summer.
The City of Bay Minette will be hosting a Lifeguard Training course for interested applicants. Additional information will sent to applicants for Lifeguard Training classes.
This is a seasonal position working at the Municipal Pool during the summer pool season. The primary responsibility will be to safeguard and protect the pool patrons and staff. Other responsibilities will include pool and building maintenance to ensure a safe and clean environment for all and patrons and staff to enjoy, and performing related duties as assigned by the Pool Manager or Pool Assistant Manager.
Candidates must have the ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations, have skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques, must pass a pre-employment skills evaluation, must have the ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork, must have knowledge of CPR and emergency medical procedures, and the ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
