Description
The Battle Creek Police Department is looking for individuals interested in becoming a Crossing Guard to assist kids in safely crossing the road at Fremont International Academy.
Essential Functions
- Monitor vehicle traffic and safely cross children on Emmett St/Fremont St. (Fremont International Academy) during morning drop-off and end of day dismissal.
- Morning hours: In place at 8:15 AM until the first bell at 8:50 AM
- Afternoon hours: In place at 3:40 PM until 4:20 PM
- Wednesday Early Release In place at 2:50 PM until 3:30 PM
- Repeatedly lift a 5-7 lbs. STOP sign.
- Pass a criminal background check
- Have reliable transportation
- Flexibility to accommodate some half-days throughout the school year.
Position Details
- Part time employee of the Battle Creek Police Department
- Compensation for 30 hours each pay period (2-weeks)
- Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour
