Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Responsible for performing routine inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure the proper functioning and safety of a facility
- Performs minor repairs like painting, drywall patching, and fixing doors while identifying issues requiring specialized technicians when necessary
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs
- Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Performs routine maintenance on building and infrastructure systems
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities and amenities
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance
- Performs ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment
- Duties include fixing machinery, plumbing, heating, and wiring, inspecting building to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs with internal customers
- Ability to identify the root cause of a mechanical problem and come up with a solution

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
- Knowledge of general carpentry and repair
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Be familiar with safety protocols and regulations to avoid hazards and injuries
- A broad knowledge of technical skills can help maintenance works diagnose and fix problems with machinery
