CLASS DEFINITION
A Quality Assurance Analyst provides operational review and evaluation of programmatic documentation to determine validity and compliance in accordance with program policy and procedures. The work of this class involves no supervisory duties or responsibilities.
Employees receive close supervision from an operational supervisor. Employees in this class work a conventional work week that will include occasional evening and weekend work. Work is performed both in an office and at locations of cameras throughout Baltimore City and requires minimal to no physical exertion. Candidates will be required to walk/stand in the outdoors for extended period of time.
Minimum Qualifications
On or before the date of filing the application, each candidate must:
EDUCATION: Have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
AND
EXPERIENCE: Have two years of experience in reviewing processes for accuracy and completeness and identifying errors and invalid documentation that do not meet minimum thresholds.
OR
NOTES EQUIVALENCY: Have an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATES: Must have valid Maryland Class C non-commercial driver’s license or equivalent out of state driver’s license acceptable to the Office of Risk Management and a Baltimore City driver’s permit are required
NOTE: Those eligibles who are under final consideration for appointments to positions in this class will be required to authorize the release of criminal conviction information.
Probation
All people, including current City employees, selected for this position must complete a mandatory six-month probation.
Eligibility
Qualified candidates will be considered for vacancies as they arise, for a period of at least six months. The decision of the Director of Human Resources with respect to acceptable minimum qualifications is final.
Education Accreditation
Applicants’ education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Education credentials obtained out of the US must be evaluated for US equivalency. Evaluation agencies information may be obtained at www.naces.org.
Selection Process
All candidates indicating the minimum qualifications on their applications will be placed on the eligible list without further examination. The training and experience of each candidate will be evaluated for appropriateness and quantity. It is essential, therefore, that you give complete and accurate information on your application.
