The City of Auburn Department of Municipal Utilities is seeking a dependable, safety-minded CDL Driver Water & Sewer to join our team and fill an immediate vacancy.
This is an opportunity to do meaningful work that directly impacts the residents of Auburn every day. Our Water & Sewer team is responsible for maintaining critical infrastructure, responding to service needs, and helping ensure the safe and reliable delivery of essential municipal services.
What Youll Do
Operate CDL-required trucks and municipal equipment.
Support water distribution and sewer maintenance operations.
Assist with water main, sewer, hydrant, valve, and utility repairs.
Perform excavation, hauling, loading, snow removal, and related municipal work as assigned.
Respond to emergency water and sewer service needs.
Conduct routine vehicle and equipment inspections.
Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
Work as part of a dedicated team serving the City of Auburn and its residents.
What Were Looking For
Valid New York State Commercial Drivers License (CDL).
Safe driving record.
Experience Operating Heavy Trucks And/or Municipal Equipment Preferred.
Experience in water, sewer, construction, public works, or related utility work is a plus.
Dependable, hardworking, and safety-conscious.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to respond to emergency and after-hours utility needs when required.
Strong commitment to teamwork and public service.
