Position: Recreation Assistants & Recreation Leaders

(5-15 hr/weekend hours)
Location: The Gym at Les Gove Park, 910 9th St SE, Auburn
Primary Duties
Recreation Assistant:
The employee is responsible for assisting children ages 5 - 11 in group activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts and free play in a birthday party setting and Kids' Night Out program. Assist in set up and takedown of the program.
Recreation Leader:
The employee is responsible for leading children ages 5 - 11 in group activities such as games, sports, arts and crafts and free play in a birthday party setting and Kids' Night Out program. Lead in the set up and take down of the program.
Minimum Qualifications
Recreation Assistant: Must be at least 16 years old.
Recreation Leader: Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must enjoy working with youth and be able to work well with other program staff.
- Must have a current First Aid and CPR certification or be willing to obtain certification within 2 weeks of employment.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to work weekends and evenings - Saturday and Sunday.
- Must be at least 16 years of age. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
