The City of Auburn is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and personable candidate for a full-time position in its tax collection/clerk’s office. The Assistant Clerks provide the first line of customer service to citizens and assist with property tax payments, motor vehicle registrations, dog licensing, vital records, , voter registration, and frontline questions. Candidates must be proficient with math, have excellent computer skills, be detail oriented, and enjoy working with the public. The successful candidate must have exemplary customer service skills, possess a strong attention to detail, be reliable and ready to work in a professional fast-paced office environment. This position is one of a team of four, directly supervised by the Tax Collector/Deputy Clerk and under the general direction of the City Clerk and Finance Director.
