The City of Auburn Public Works Department is seeking a full-time Assistant Arborist. Responsibilities include aerial and ground tree work, cutting trees, trimming branches and brush, tree planting, operation of bucket truck, and other tasks related to tree work, under the general supervision of the City Arborist. The position also requires the operation of snowplows, sanders, and other equipment. A valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License or be able to obtain it in 6 months. Arborist License required. Overtime, including nights, weekends and holidays and work in all types of weather conditions are required. Starting wage is $21.61/hr with competitive benefits package.
