The City of Arkadelphia’s Sanitation Department is accepting applications for a utility driver.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Must have adequate knowledge of all streets and businesses in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
- Must be physically able to carry out duties associated with being a utility driver.
- Ability to read, write and understand general directions.
- Awareness of all safety standards when operating heavy equipment vehicles.
- Ability to safely and skillfully operate all Sanitation Department heavy equipment.
Physical Characteristics
- Hear well enough to respond to verbal communication up to 20 feet away; hearing aid acceptable.
- Use of hands and fingers to grasp tools.
- Physical dexterity sufficient to operate levers, gears, etc.
- Ability to work in various types of weather conditions including extreme heat/cold and dry/wet conditions.
Other Characteristics/Qualifications
- Possess a valid Arkansas driver’s license.
- Posses a valid Class A CDL.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
