Job Summary:
City of Arcade is seeking a reliable and motivated Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer to help ensure compliance with local ordinances and property maintenance standards. This position involves investigating complaints, documenting violations, and working with residents to resolve issues and maintain community standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct property inspections for ordinance compliance
- Investigate citizen complaints regarding property maintenance and zoning issues
- Document violations and issue warnings or notices when necessary
- Maintain accurate reports and case records
- Follow up on violations to ensure corrective action
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience in code enforcement, inspections, law enforcement, or related field preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Valid driver’s license required
Schedule:
Part-time, approximately 8-16 hours per week.
Pay:
$18.00 per hour, depending on experience.
