Property & Evidence Unit
In the Property & Evidence (P&E) Unit, Volunteers support the function of P&E.
Responsibilities Include
Duties
Volunteers in the Records Unit work alongside staff during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM). This role involves performing various clerical duties such as:
Commitment: A minimum of one year of service is required, with a commitment of at least 16 hours per month. Exceptions for fewer hours may be considered based on department needs and the volunteer's residency status.
Days of Work Week: Monday through Thursday
Hours: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

- Assisting with the inventory process
- Handling items that may be hazardous or unpleasant due to their origin at crime scenes
- Requirements for this role include:
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
- Proficiency in reading sequential numbering systems
Duties

- Be proficient with office equipment
- Follow oral and written instructions accurately
