The City of American Falls is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer.

Position Responsibilities Include:
- Protecting life and property
- Enforcing state and local laws
- Responding to calls for service and emergencies
- Conducting traffic enforcement and investigations
- Preparing reports and maintaining accurate records
- Building positive relationships with residents, businesses, and community partners
- Participating in community policing and public safety activities
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must meet Idaho POST requirements for employment as a peace officer
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid Idaho driver's license
- Must successfully complete required background, physical, psychological, medical, and other pre-employment requirements
- Must be able to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as necessary
- Must demonstrate good judgment, integrity, professionalism, and strong communication skills
