ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determines eligibility of applicants based on nutritional/medical risk assessment.
- Provides individual dietary/nutritional counseling and individual breastfeeding counseling.
- Teaches nutrition education classes.
- Obtains height, weight, and hematocrit/hemoglobin on participants and plots on appropriate growth grids.
- Scheduling appointments in a computerized format; follow up on missed and future appointments.
- Answering a multi-line telephone system and processing calls efficiently and expeditiously.
- Contacting participants via text and phone to upload documents and assisting them with the process.
- Presenting a hospitality, customer centered and caring attitude.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Ability to operate computers for data entry and word processing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skill.
- Ability to operate small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, Food Science, Food Technology, or Home Economics with a minimum of 12 semester hours in food and nutrition is required.
