Job Announcement:
Under general supervision, performs various mechanical and electrical repairs and maintenance duties to ensure the proper operation of wastewater treatment plant, water plant and or lift stations equipment and systems. Collects samples for testing. Assists in training and instructing division trainees. Assists in ensuring facility is operated according to established regulatory codes and standards of quality. Performs related work as required. The incumbent must be able to perform a full range of complex tasks within a framework of established procedures. Reports to the Chief Wastewater Plant Operator, or Utilities Supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented by course work or training in water utility operations or mechanical maintenance and repair, plus up to two years of responsible wastewater treatment operations experience, water treatment operation, lift station operation or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Salary:
Hourly rate is $20.82 / hour.
