Job Announcement:
Under general supervision, the purpose of this position is to support and assist in the administration of all older adult programs, activities, and special events for the Alvin Community. Provides customer service, assists with support staff and volunteers in the older adult division. This position may include service or duties different from those performed in the usual course and scope of the job during emergency situations for the benefit of the public. The specialist is under the direct supervision of the Senior Center Manager. The Recreation Specialist will support full and part-time staff, volunteers, older adult groups and organizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High School diploma/GED equivalent.
• Current Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License Class "C" upon initial employment.
Salary:
Starting Salary: $16.31/hour
