What are the responsibilities and job description for the Substitute School Crossing Guard position at City of Altoona?
If you enjoy working with children and ensuring their safety, the City of Altoona has a great opportunity for you as a Substitute School Crossing Guard. As a Substitute Crossing Guard, you will provide a level of safety to school students at various locations within the City of Altoona. This position offers a flexible schedule, allowing you to work on an as-needed basis when regular Crossing Guards are unavailable, during the Altoona Area School District 2026 - 2027 academic year. Typical hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 A.M. - 9:30 A.M. and afternoons between 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a background check
- Reliable transportation
