You can be part of all the fun that is happening at City of Alpharetta Recreation and Parks this summer! Applications will be accepted for a variety of summer jobs including pool manager. Pool staff work 18 - 45 hours per week depending on position.
 
 
Those applying for aquatic positions are required to submit proof of current certification in CPR, first aid, lifeguarding and water safety instruction, provided by the Red Cross OR attend paid training with the City of Alpharetta.
  • Oversee the operations of the aquatic facility and programming under the direction of the Recreation Supervisor 
  • Supervise all site aquatic employees in the performance of their duties and enforce all rules and regulations
  • Be familiar with and promote pool activities including scheduling of swim team, rental procedures, and special events
  • Maintain proper filtration, chlorination, and water clarity daily
  • Maintain a daily log of all events, activities, and incidents 
  • Prepares accident/incident reports as necessary; ensures staff compliance with Emergency Action Plan
  • At least 18 years of age
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 2 – 3 years previous experience and/or training that includes managing a community swimming facility; or any equivalent combination of education, and specialized training.
  • Must possess the following nationally recognized certifications: Standard First Aid, Infant, Child, and Adult CPR and Lifeguard Training Certification.
  • Possession of the following certifications a plus: Water Safety Instructor, Standard First Aid Instructor, Lifeguard Training Instructor, Certified Pool and Spa Operator.
  • Must have a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to demonstrate successful completion of a physical performance test and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Work requires evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
