Position Overview:

If so, the Department of Community and Human Services (DCHS) is hiring for a Senior Therapist position for our Residential Program. Examples of Duties:
- Provides clinical and administrative supervision to SRC’s and RN’s, including ongoing review of clinical activity and documentation thereof to assure conformance with record keeping standards;
- Ensures SRC’s are developing client-centered and individualized treatment plans that are based on strengths, needs, goals, defined objectives, and treatment preferences.
- Conducts quality improvement activities, including record review, individual supervision, training, and performance evaluation;
Assists SRC’s in using the computerized record system (Credible BH) and assures that records are up to date and in conformance with all DBHDS, Medicaid, and Department standards; - Assures that residential program vacancies are promptly advertised, reviewed, and then filled with appropriate clients. Ensures leases are completed as required for designated programs. Periodic review of Yardi Breeze system for updated records.
- Prepares staff performance evaluations in a timely manner (at least 7 days ahead of Personnel due date);
- Attends all relevant team meetings and assists the Program Director in sharing information with MH/SU Residential team;
- Assists Team Leader in identifying program and team needs and in implementing new programs or models;
- Assists in the hiring and training of new staff;
- Maintains compliance with all Department training requirements;
- Performs other related work as assigned.
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and understanding of substance use and/or co-occurring mental health disorders and available treatment methods. Knowledge of the psychological and physiological aspects of substance use. Knowledge of the effects of licit and illicit drugs. Knowledge of mental illnesses and treatment methods and practices used in psychiatric disorders. Ability to effectively utilize case management and care coordination. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other professionals and with the general public, both orally and in writing.

At least three years of supervisory experience; At least two years of case management experience; Licensed in VA as an LPC, LCSW, LSATP or Clinical Psychologist. *Preference will also be given to applicants with excellent analytical, and organization skills, and experience using the Credible BH system.
This position requires the successful completion of pre-employment background checks including but not limited to: FBI/Federal Records Check, VA State Child Abuse/Neglect Registry; Medicare/Medicaid Fraud Database; education/certifications; and driver’s license.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM, with some weekend on call rotation.
Salary : $73,323 - $98,219
