Alameda Pride Foundation (Alameda Pride) opened an Alameda-based LGBTQ space for middle and high school youth in 2024. Queer Alameda Teen Center (QTAC) operates the second Friday of each month from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Alameda Pride is currently searching for a part-time staff to lead and coordinate programs, activities, and services for Alameda LGBTQ youth, ensuring a safe and supportive environment, and advocating for their needs and well-being.
This will be up to 5 hours per month.Key Responsibilities
Program Development and Implementation:
Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and activities that meet the needs and interests of youth.
Ensure programs are inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed.
Coordinate and facilitate group activities, workshops, and events.
Advocate for youth needs and rights, both within the center and in the broader community.
Conduct outreach to attract and engage LGBTQ youth.
Provide referrals to appropriate resources and services.
Leadership and Management:
Build partnerships with other organizations and community stakeholders.
Manage resources and supplies effectively.
Participate in center coordination meetings.
Represent the center at community events and meetings.
Safety and Well-being:
Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all youth.
Address any safety concerns or incidents promptly and effectively.
Promote positive youth development and well-being.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of youth involvement and program activities.
Participate in data collection and evaluation activities.

Strong understanding of LGBTQ issues, youth development, and the need to protect confidential information for teens participating in QTAC.
Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
