Summer Internship – Library Clerk
Pay: $13.50/hour
Hours: 15–20 hours per week
The Alabaster Library is seeking a motivated Summer Intern to assist with daily library operations and support children’s summer reading programs. This internship is designed for local high school students who meet minimum qualifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with children’s summer reading programs
Support material circulation (check-in/check-out)
Help with collection management and organization
Provide general customer service to library patrons
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, use of hands, talking, and hearing
Occasional walking, reaching, bending, and climbing
Ability to push/pull a loaded book truck (up to 50 lbs)
Lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Ability to read printed and electronic materials
