The Adel Iowa Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. High school graduate or GED required. Must be able to obtain ILEA certification.
Possession of law enforcement certification in another state and successful completion of all application and examination requirements as outlined in Iowa Administrative Code 501-3.8(80B).
The Adel Police Department currently has 13 full time sworn officers and 1 civilian position.
The City of Adel has an excellent benefits package including but not limited to: BlueCross/BlueShield health insurance. Officers receive holiday pay, paid vacation, sick time plus three additional floating holidays. Shift differential pay, overtime, comp time and off duty opportunities. IPERS retirement. May be assigned to specialized assignment (FTO,SRO,etc.)
Starting salary for this position: Uncertified rate: $33.36 Certified rate: $34.46
