The Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the overall test strategy, plan, and schedule in alignment with project milestones.
- Coordinate test account setup, data requirements, and defect management processes.
- Partner with technology and vendors to ensure the test environment is readily available for testing.
- Ensure traceability of test cases to business and system requirements.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to align testing priorities.
- Responsible for overall program testing status, including facilitation of testing calls and report-outs.
- Facilitate communication between IT, vendors, and business teams to resolve testing bottlenecks.
- Coordinate overall defect management of identified issues, their severity, and resolution status.
- Identify and escalate testing risks, ensuring mitigation plans are in place.
- Track and report on test progress, defects, and resolution status to project leadership.
- Validate test coverage and ensure adherence to CNB/RBC’s testing standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., OSFI, IIROC).
- Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure sign-off from business stakeholders.
- Recommend best practices and improvements to testing processes, technology, and interfaces that improve the effectiveness of testing teams.
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test scripts, results, and defect logs.
- Contribute to post-implementation reviews and lessons learned.
- 5 years of experience in test coordination or QA leadership, preferably in wealth management or with wealth custody systems.
- Proven experience in large-scale platform conversion projects.
- Expertise in test management tools (e.g., JIRA, ServiceNow CSM) and defect tracking.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with CNB’s systems or wealth management platforms (e.g., SEI Wealth Platform, Moxy, Broadridge, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of custody operations, securities processing, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
