Summary Description
Approves or denies consumer loans including: customer cash advances, automobile, boat/marine, visa checkcard, cash secured, home improvement, home equity line, improved land, mobile home, motorcycle, overdraft protection, recreational vehicle, home improvement refinances, small business, stock secured, and unsecured personal.
Essential Functions
Review and evaluate information on consumer loan documents to determine if borrower, collateral and loan conditions meet established standards
Determine terms and acceptability of risk
Approve or reject loan applications, or request additional information
Record loan rejections
Assemble documents in loan files
Maintain data base on new and existing business
Position Requirements
College degree preferred
2-4 years of underwriting experience
Demonstrated computer experience with inventory management software
Experience with Underwriting software preferred
Work is generally performed indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
Typically, the employee may sit to perform the work. However, there may be some standing, walking, bending and carrying of light items in the course of the work
