Job Title:
Low Barrier Shelter Support Staff
$15.25 – 16.25
Role and Responsibilities:
Engage with individuals that seek assistance through City Mission Low barrier shelter. Oversees the guests while in the overnight low barrier shelter, including safety and security of guests and property.
See that each guest of the low barrier shelter has a place to store personal belongings, has been given food and drinks, and clean bedding.
Through the interview and intake process complete questionnaires or record information required by City Mission’s contract with The Home Project, ADAMSH
Through the intake process and building trust with guests encourage engagement in services.
Guest that request additional services will be referred to the outreach advocate / navigator (FRC) for further assistance.
Accesses, inputs, maintains information in mission tracker system.
Answers phone and messages concerning access to the Low Barrier shelter.
This job will require weekends and Holidays.
12 hour shift 8 pm - 8 am Saturday & Sunday and 3 hours on Fridays 7pm - 10 pm.
You may be able to pick up more hours based on availability. Hours may vary in order to meet the needs of the City Mission.
Attends weekly staff meetings, contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the mission’s service to its guests by offering suggestions and participating as an active member of the team.

· High School Diploma or GED
· Security or experience with the unhoused population a plus.
- Ability to operate and functionally use a computer.
- Ability and willingness to listen and allow each individual the freedom of choice in their process.
- Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills., handling sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Willing to agree with and uphold City Mission’s Statement of Faith.
