Overview
We are looking for a reliable and energetic Forklift Operator/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating various types of warehouse equipment, and supporting overall warehouse operations. Duties
- Safely operate forklift trucks such as reach trucks, lift trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and barcode scanning equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse.
- Assist with order picking and packing using manual handling techniques and order picker equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Support shipping and receiving activities by inspecting incoming shipments, verifying quantities against purchase orders, and documenting inventory movements in the warehouse management system.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment by adhering to safety standards in production and warehouse safety protocols outlined by OSHA.
- Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure all machinery operates safely and effectively.
- Manage inventory levels through regular stock counts, barcode scanning for logistics accuracy, and proper storage practices aligned with warehouse distribution procedures.
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks and materials handling activities while following manual handling guidelines to prevent injuries.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including lift truck and Hi-Lo), clamp trucks, pallet jacks, or similar material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and barcode scanning technology used in logistics operations.
- Familiarity with safety standards including OSHA regulations related to forklift safety protocols and general warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, measurements, or order quantities accurately.
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable.
- Strong manual handling skills with the physical ability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors across various warehouse functions.
