Business Relations Specialist

City Lifestyle is a luxury publishing company headquartered in downtown Kansas City. We partner with independent entrepreneurs across the country who own and operate monthly lifestyle magazines, connecting affluent communities with local businesses, people, and stories.

We're seeking a polished, resourceful Business Relations Specialist to serve as a trusted point of contact for our nationwide network of magazine business owners. This role goes beyond traditional customer service. You'll build professional relationships, navigate complex business questions, coordinate solutions across departments, and help entrepreneurs manage the day-to-day needs of their businesses.

We're looking for someone who combines exceptional communication skills with sound judgment, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The right person takes ownership, anticipates needs, and delivers a thoughtful, high-touch experience in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Build strong relationships with our network of magazine business owners, providing responsive, professional support.
• Take ownership of issues from start to finish, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Assist with advertising contracts, billing, account management, editorial, magazine production, printing, and distribution.
• Help business owners navigate company systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and understand business processes.
• Manage account updates, contract adjustments, payment requests, and other operational needs with accuracy and sound judgment.
• Identify recurring challenges and develop solutions that improve processes and the overall owner experience.
• Partner with internal departments to ensure our franchise owners receive consistent, thoughtful support.

Experience That Stands Out:

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with CRM platforms, contracts, billing, or account administration.

Requirements:

• Previous customer service experience is helpful but not required.
• Degree or education in Communications or a related field is a plus.
• Full-time, onsite position.
• No travel required.
• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer.
