Position Overview

City Home is seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver to join our Beaverton team.

This is a hands-on position that plays an important role in both our warehouse operations and the customer experience. Responsibilities include receiving and inspecting inventory, assembling furniture, preparing customer orders, maintaining an organized warehouse, transferring merchandise between locations, and completing local and long-distance furniture deliveries.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, self-motivated, safety-conscious, and comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely unload, receive, inspect, and assemble furniture shipments.
• Perform quality-control inspections on incoming inventory and outgoing customer orders.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient warehouse environment.
• Assist with inventory management and merchandise transfers between City Home locations.
• Prepare, package, and stage merchandise for customer pickup, shipping, and delivery.
• Process e-commerce orders and coordinate shipments through FedEx and other freight carriers.
• Assist customers with safely loading purchased merchandise into their vehicles.
• Complete local and long-distance furniture deliveries as needed.
• Safely transport, handle, and place furniture in customers' homes.
• Drive company box vans for customer deliveries and inventory transfers.
• Operate pallet jacks, furniture dollies, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Support sales associates and visual merchandisers with furniture moves, showroom setup, and hanging lighting fixtures.
• Participate in team meetings, training, and ongoing operational improvements.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, shipping and receiving, delivery, or logistics experience required.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move furniture weighing 75 pounds or more.
• Experience safely handling and transporting furniture or other large, delicate merchandise.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge and safe use of hand and power tools.
• Experience operating pallet jacks, dollies, and other warehouse equipment.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Furniture or home furnishings industry experience is a plus.
