Where Hope Lives is accredited through CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). The most successful candidates for this portion will have an understanding and previous experience of how to deliver Christ-centered social services.
We have immediate openings for Youth Care Workers to provide support and act as caregivers to the youth in our care.

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Youth Workers to join our team. A successful candidate will provide support and care to children and young adults ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being. The role requires a strong understanding of special education principles, behavioral health strategies, and caregiving practices. The ideal candidate will be passionate about empowering young people and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality services.
New employees will start at a rate of $18 and may increase to a range between$18 and $20 depending on experience, skill working with the youth and the successful completion of a 60-day training and completion of all required documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Functions as a behavior example to children through use of role modeling.
- Always monitors the behavior and activities of children; reports any concerns regarding the health, safety, or well-being of clients to the Executive Director or other appropriate authority.
- Provides for and maintains a safe, comfortable, and nurturing environment.
- Follows and implements a daily schedule.
- Consistently and fairly applies house rules, policies, and behavior expectations for children at Where Hope Lives Children's Program.
- Enhances child’s positive social skills and assists in helping to develop youth’s self control.
- Supports positive group interaction.
- Assists in the planning and implementation of individual treatment plans, supports the child’s goals, encourages, and assists the child with achieving her goals.
- Responsible for maintenance of housekeeping and cooking of meals, as needed.
- Responsible for providing assistance and direction with educational activities of children.
- Monitors all children during sleeping hours by making periodic bed checks as required by policy and individual needs.
- Conducts security/safety checks and removes dangerous items
- Assists with educational, social, and recreational activities.
- Utilizes Standard Precautions in every circumstance.
- Attends and participates in meetings as required.
- Attends training/in-services as required.
- Completes Incident Reports in a timely fashion.
- Speaks positively about the organization and staff members when speaking to the public.
Required Qualifications, Clearances, and Experience
- Education Minimum: High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent
- One (1) year or More of Experience Working Directly with At-Risk-Youth, Child Care, Group Home, or Child Welfare required
- AZ Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card Required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with Acceptable Driving History Required
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid Preferred
- CPI, CIT, or Prevention and Support Certification Preferred
- Food Handler's Card Preferred
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- Bona-fide Occupational Qualification: Female
Background Check Requirements
- Arizona Central Registry Check
- Arizona DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- AWA Out of State Background Check (if applicable)
- Fitness for Duty Medical Screening/Physical
- Drug Screening- due to the sensitive nature of the position and state licensing requirements, Marijuana (THC) positive results are included as a disqualifying factor for employment
